In such situations there are additional logistical, legal, and emotional issues that need to be managed to complete the sale of the home. Organizing the personal property left in the home as well as important documents also goes a long way toward ensuring the most efficient home sale possible. Moving out extra furniture and personal items, and in many cases, organizing and holding an estate sale, as well as arranging for cleaning, repairs and updates can be a hassle, but a great real estate agent can provide contacts and guidance to facilitate these jobs.   


Also, collecting necessary documents and having them available for your real estate agent will speed along process of listing the home for sale.  Legal documents relating to the estate (wills, powers of attorney, trust documents, etc.), mortgage records, maintenance records, recent utility bills, the homeowner’s insurance policy, and a list of updates made to the home are  important to gather and share with your real estate agent.
